1892 - Hartlepool Rangers - The demise of the Club.

What we know about this image :

Dating from 1892 this Appeal by the Hon Sec of the Hartlepool Rangers club for funds to build a Grandstand on their ground near the Tram Sheds at Greenland, their efforts came to naught for the Club folded this year, citing a lack of a ground (their tram sheds site was to be used for housing!) as the cause of their demise.

The ground must have had a stand of some sort as a poster from 1891 on this site (Rangers v Gosforth) listed admission to Stand among the prices.
