The Second All Blacks XV, who won all their games in the United Kingdom, and are known as The Invincible’s, played one game in Durham County, playing on Roker Park, Sunderland, the home then of Sunderland AFC. The match was in October 1924 and they soundly beat Durham 47 – 7 before a crowd of 13,000. The Durham XV included members of Hartlepool Rovers; Harry Lister, Len Chilverton, Rudd Alderson (who scored the 7 Durham points), Tot Short and Bill Carroll. George Carter, a member of Rovers who had faced the 1905 Original All Blacks as a player, was by 1924 the Durham County Secretary and would have arranged the Game at Roker Park.

Location
Like the pre-Great War years, few images appear to have survived on the County XVs from the restart in 1919 even into the post War period. One highlight was the appearance of the County XV in the 1932 Final.
