Seaton CarewSeaton Carew, a coastal village to the south-east of Stranton, was a fashionable 18th century holiday destination for Quakers from Darlington. By 1840 it was still a small village, but was attracting wealthy citizens from the surrounding area to make their homes there. It is now undergoing a process of rennovation.
