2018 - Consett Codgers v West Hartlepool Vets

What we know about this image :

One of the many trends in “modern” Rugby is the emergence of Veterans Rugby with several clubs turning out sides comprising the faded stars of yesteryear to demonstrate how it once was on the Rugby Field.

Our pic adding a splash of colour to a dank wintery day, shows West Vets on their visit on 3rd February 2018 to Amethyst Park, Consett,  on the Medomsley Road where the West side came away with a creditable 47 – 19 win.

 

West players are in orange and white, shades of the Club in the 1920s when they (the Club not these players!) played for a spell in Tangerine and White as “West and Tech”
