An image of skipper Cliff Harrison’s Rovers XV that overcame Westoe to lift the Senior Cup at Ashbrooke by just 8 pts to 6pts.
Rovers had reached the Final without conceding a point with wins over Billingham, Durham City and North Durham, the latter games both away. Cliff Harrison led by example scoring his side’s only try, the other points coming from a Jack Denton penalty goal. This was Rovers 24th win in 31 Finals.
