March 1953, the image shows Chris Willoughby from the Water Board with a tank of water supplying the locals in South St and Pilot St. Nacy Evans holds the jug, Mrs McFarlane with a kettle, the lady on the left was Mrs Harvey and the boy John Garthwaite. A pipe supplying the houses had burst.
