What we know about this image :
Taken from almost the same angle as the one in 1895 but here, the new National Provincial Bank has almost been built and Stephenson, draper has now been demolished and rebuilt as Carter and Co (later Hill Carter). The electric tram is operational. Isaac Broady Pawnbroker and Jeweller is on the right hand side, and this was to become D A Scott, Jeweller for many years.
