What we know about this image :
Looking down Park Road towards York Road.Towards the background a Shell petrol sign can be seen and this was Ewart Parson's petrol station which stood diagonally on the Park Road/York Road junction. This garage and the buildings on the left were demolished and replaced in the early 1970s by the ugly Titan House, which is now flats ,a concrete block of shops and a snooker centre. These can be seen on a further picture in this section.
