Fate

The British steamship Turnbridge was torpedoed by submarine the German submarine U-35, 34 miles north-east of Cape Ivi, Algeria, on December 24th, 1917. The ship was on a voyage from Cardiff to Algiers with a cargo of coal. The 2nd mate, Herbert Hughes, was lost. Master - Alfred Harry Jenkins (b.1869 Cadoxton).
