Fate

The British steamship Gasconia was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-63 (Otto Schultze), 12 miles east of Shershel, Algeria, on November 16th, 1917. The ship was on a voyage from Barry to Malta with coal and stores. Three crew were lost.
