Fate

The Hartlepool-built steamship Manchester Commerce was mined and sunk 20 miles north-east of Tory Island, Ireland, on October 27th, 1914. The ship was on a voyage from Manchester to Quebec. Master Charles William Bloom Payne.

14 crew were lost including one from the Hartlepools:
Charles Moller.
