Fate

The steamship Snowdon Range was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine UC-65, 25 miles west of Bardsey Island, on 28th March, 1917. The ship was on a voyage from Philadelphia to Liverpool with general cargo and a consignment of explosives.
Four crew were lost including West Hartlepool-born, 4th Engineer James Arthur Bowman.

The other three men who lost their lives were: Keegan, Richard; Prentice, Robert Barbour; Saiyed Husain.
