Fate

The steamship Romford sank on February 10th, 1918, after striking a mine laid by UC-67, off Tunis. The ship was on a voyage from Barry to Tunis and Bizerta with a cargo of phosphates.

Twenty seven crew were lost including two from the Hartlepools: Henry Snowdon and Stephen John Wardman.
