Pub which was on the corner of Stockton Street and Musgrave Street. It was opened in 1855. From 1886 it was owned by Cameron's and it was demolished in 1969 along with most of Stockton Street.
A lovely photograph of The Gardeners Arms. It was located on the corner of Stockton Street and Musgrave Street, West Hartlepool. Date unknown.
More detail »Taken looking along Stockton Street towards Church Square, the only recognisable building is in the far distant middle of the picture and is the clock tower of Binns/Wilkinsons. All other buildings were demolished to make way for the College of Further Education on the right and Middleton Grange Shopping Centre on the left.
The photo will have been around 1964.
