Kirkham Hotel, South Crescent, Hartlepool was opened in 1953 and prior to this was a large private home belonging for many years to Alderman John Roger Butterworth until his death in 1932. It was acquired by Cameron's after WW2 and eventually opened on 26 th August 1953. It closed in the early part of the 2000s and is once again a private residence.
