Rossmere Park, Rossmere Way, Hartlepool officially opened in June 1958. It cost £14,000 which included the purchase of 10 acres of land, landscaping, fencing and making the old quarry lake which had been up to 30 feet deep in places safer by filling much of it in.
Taken on Jun 28th 1958, the park was officially opened by the Mayor, Councillor Bratton and Chairman of the Parks Committee GPK Gallimore who are in the centre of the picture.
