Charles (or Carl), Moller was born at West Hartlepool in 1878, the son of Mathias and Caroline Moller. Mathias was a British Subject born in Norway, around 1846, and married Caroline Warden on May 25th, 1874, at St. Paul's Church, Hendon, Sunderland. The 1881 Census, shows Mathias (listed as a Timber Measurer), and Caroline living at No.8, Lawrence Street, Sunderland, with their three children; Stine (aged 6, born in Sunderland), Edward W. (4), and Carl (2), both born in West Hartlepool.
Charles does not appear to have married, and Memorial records do not list his address at the time of his death.
