Robinson, William


Died of disease at the Royal Navy Training Base HMS Pembroke. R.N.R. Service No. 667 ST.
William was born at West Hartlepool and baptised at Brougham Street Primitive Methodist Church on December 29th, 1868.
The 1871 Census shows William to be the youngest of six children to parents Thomas Lynn (listed as a Blacksmith in 1875), and Sarah Jane Robinson; Mary Ann (aged 16), Ellen (aged 14), Isabella (aged 12), Elizabeth Jane (aged 8), George Braid (aged 5), and William (aged 2 at this time).

Following his death on May 28th, 1918, aged 49, William was buried at Middle Warren Cemetery, Hart Road, West Hartlepool. The only relative recorded as being informed of his death was his sister Ellen, who had married William Fewster on March 29th, 1875, at Holy Triniity Church, Throston, West Hartlepool. Her address at this time was No.29, Everard Street, Hartlepool.
