Robert was a 1st Class Stoker K/497 serving in the Royal Navy and was on the ship HMS "Formidable" when he died on the 1st January 1915 aged just twenty five.
He was the son of Margaret Blandford, Hartlepool.
Robert is buried at Chatham Naval Memorial, Kent, United Kingdom
