Bert Sharples, Director of Leisure and Amenities with Duncan Smith, the Manager of the Windsor Resaurant for many years. The Windsor Restaurant was run by the council and situated in Middleton Grange Shopping Centre. It looks athought there is going to be a formal dinner by the way it is set out.
Thomas Richardson III was born at Castle Eden in December 1846. He was a Director of Richardsons, Westgarth & Co. and in 1895 he followed in his father's footsteps to become the Member of Parliament for the Hartlepools (a Liberal Unionist). He was knighted in 1897 and died in May 1906.
