Bound from New Bedford for Pictou, Nova Scotia in ballast & with a crew of 20 & one passenger Bedlington went ashore & was wrecked at Sugar Island, Torbay, Nova Scotia on 22 June 1894. No lives lost.

Hartlepool Northern Daily Mail, Tuesday, December 14th, 1886:
WEST HARTLEPOOL STEAMER IN THE STORM. Portland, Dec. 11. 6.30 p.m. The Bedlington, of West Hartlepool, from Sundswall for Bilbao, has put into Portland Roads in tow of the Weymouth steamer Brighton. The Bedlington has rudder and one boat carried away, one boat stove in, and part of deck cargo of deals washed overboard. She belongs to Messrs. Lilly, Wilson and Co.
