Voyages: 1835 London for Jamaica; 1853 Hartlepool for France; 16 September 1854 from Quebec for Grimsby she developed a leak at sea & had to put in at Lerwick to discharge.

On a voyage from Bordeaux for Cardiff John was wrecked at the mouth of the Gironde on 10 January 1856. Crew saved.
