Advertised to be auctioned at Sunderland on 9 March 1865.

Voyages: Sailed from Turks Island arriving at New York on 17 December 1861 with a cargo of salt; from Turks Island arriving at New York on 7 May 1862 with a cargo of sugar; from Middlesbrough for Memel sailing 1 December 1864.

On a voyage from Sunderland for Ostend Richard Denton was wrecked at Ostend on 29 January 1868. The wreckage & stores were sold on 31 January 1868.
