As part of the Celebrations of the Centenary of West Hartlepool RFC , a District XV was fielded on Breirton Lane on Wednesday, 3rd March 1982 against the club Stags XV, which resulted in a 16 - 12 win for the home side. Scorers for West were Dave Stubbs and Graeme Cook, Cameron Henderson added a penalty and a conversion with Neil Sinclair adding a conversion. Steve Bennison scored the sole Dirtrict try with Peter kItson adding a conversion and two penalties.
