Whitakers in Church Square

What we know about this image :

For many years, Whitaker's bookshop and stationers was in Church Squake.In 1966, they had taken over the upstairs of Knight's the grocer extending the shop considerably.

When Middleton Grange Shopping Centre opened, Whitaker's took a unit on the upper level which still sold books but also sold a lot of art supplies for local students.
