Location
Seaton Park was developed on the site of Glebe Farm Estate in Station Lane, Seaton Carew. The land was purchased by West Hartlepool Council in 1949 and planning was begun in August 1959. The park was opened in April 1962.
The park was built on what were known locally as Dodd's and Eggy's fields. Located just behind the sea front, it covers 6.5 hectares and has tennis courts, a bowling green and children's playgrounds.
There is a very active Friends of Seaton Park group with a website at http://www.seatonheritage.co.uk/.
