Fate

The British steamship Lugano sank 2 miles south-west of Bull Point, Antrim, on October 2nd, 1917, after striking a mine laid by the German submarine U-79 (Otto Rohrbeck). The ship was on a voyage from Newport News to Liverpool with general cargo. No lives were lost. Master - F.J. Harsden.
