Fate

Sunk by gunfire from the German submarine UB-40 (Karl Neumann), 25 miles south of the Isle of Wight, on October 20th, 1916. The ship was on a voyage from Philadelphia to West Hartlepool with a cargo of refined sugar. No lives were lost. Master W. Maine.
