Fate

The British steamship Parthenia was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-69 (Ernst Wilhelms), 140 miles west of the Bishop Rock, on June 6th, 1917. The ship was oln a voyage from New York to London with oats, steel and general cargo. Three crew were lost.
