Fate

On a voyage from Granville to Cardiff in water ballast & with a crew of twelve Mera was wrecked at Minquiers Rock, Channel Islands on 9 February 1887. The master, Greenwell, mate, two engineers & eight seamen were landed at Southampton on 24 February. The master was found at fault & his certificate was suspended for three months.
