Fate

The British steamship Nyassa was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine UB-57 (Otto Steinbrinck), 3 miles east of the Lizard, on November 24th, 1917. The ship was on a voyage from Cardiff to Rouen with a cargoi of coal. No lives were lost. Master M. Halcrow.
