The house on the right is in Hylton Road. The photo has been taken on the corner of Hylton Road and The Vale and Tunstall Farmhouse on the left is in The Vale. The old farmhouse is still there today although is now more hidden by newer houses and hardly visible from Hylton Road. The photo was taken in April 1976.
It is part of the old Tunstall Hall Estate which in 1876 became the property of W A Wooler of Darlington who sold land for the many villas in the area and gave land for Ward Jackson Park.
