The Devon, Church Street, Hartlepool was a public house that was entered by going downstairs in to the building. It was frequented by locals as well as a lot of foreign seamen.

Donated by W HendersonCaspers was a public house in Church Street, Hartlepool where you had to go downstairs in order to enter the premises. It was formerly known as The Devon when it was well known to foreign seamen.
