Details about St Helen's School
When the Headland area was redeveloped, St Helen's Infants' was opened by Durham County Council in September 1964 and Baltic Street Infants', Throston Junior and Infants' and Prissick Schools closed. There was a proposal to build St Helen's Junior School to replace Baltic Street Junior Department. St Helen's Junior School was in use by Summer 1968.
