Nurse at Howbeck Hospital
Donated by Maureen O'DonnellPicture of nurse Florence Devereux taken at Howbeck Hospital (later Hartlepool General) in the 1930s. She was a nurse here until she got married when she had to leave. Apparently, the only person to own a car at the time Florence worked there was a female doctor - unmarried, we presume !
