On 13 November 1840 carrying a cargo of deals & a crew of nine Victoria was driven ashore on the West Bay at Littlehampton & was wrecked. The crew drifted a line ashore to coastguards who then hauled a small boat out to them three times until all were safe. She was marked as wrecked in Lloyd Register of 1841/42.
