Eustace went ashore at Copt Point near Folkestone on 5 December 1902. A tug & the Folkestone lifeboat went to her assistance but the lifeboat became badly damaged. The crew were rescued & the tug eventually managed to tow the stricken vessel to harbour where she was declared a wreck.
