This photograph is of Charlotte Whiteside(nee Watkins). 

Charlotte was mother to  Harold Whiteside 1903-1988. When Harold's father died in 1905 both he and his mother lived in Charles Street with George Watkins  and his wife. They  continued living there after George's death with his widow Hannah Watkins(nee Pearce).

This photograph is of George Watkins.George used three chriatian names , one of those being Walter. He also had two familly names. Born 1849 in Sunderland he was apprenticed 1865-69 as a merchant seaman to Joseph Hill of Hartlepool on the brig"Safeguard"on voyages to the Baltic including St. Petersburg, taking coal out and bringing timber back.From at least 1876 he lived at 19 Charles Street where he died in 1919

This photograph is of Hannah Watkins (nee Pearce) second wife of George Watkins. Hannah was born in Dock Street in 1862 and died in 1931

This photograph is of Isabella (Bella) Whiteside(neeGillespie)

Bella was born in Hartlepool 1904 and died in Strafford in 2005.

This photograph is of Janet Carling (nee Watkins) who was married to Harold Carling, a barber and umbrella maker before the outbreak of WW1.

Also appearing in the photograph are their  two dughters; Josephine Navy born in 1907 with her little sister  Eve.The little boy on the right is their cousin Harold Whiteside.

 Josephine and Eve were orphaned in 1915 when both parents died .

This photograph is of Janet Watkins, daughter of Hannah(nee Pearce) and George Watkins. 

Janet  was born in 1883 and died in 1915. She was married to Harold Carling who was also tragically killed in 1915 at the Battle of Loos.

This photograph is of Josephine when she was May Queen, possibly Hartlepool Carnival  after WW1?

In this photograph  is  a young Josephine Navy Hardy( named Carling )when born  in 1907,
