Miscellaneous: 19 May 1867 left Leghorn with a cargo of marble bound for Boston, USA arriving in July. During the voyage they encountered a severe gale which caused her to spring a leak. The crew of 13 were ordered to the pumps & worked them for about 24 hours after which all but the mate & the carpenter refused to work anymore demanding that the vessel put to a port for repairs. The master, Slater refused to agree to their request because that would have been a costly delay & ordered them to continue at the pumps. All but the boatswain refused & the rest of the crew went below. The master had all the provisions locked up in the cabin & he, the mate, carpenter & boatswain continued working the pumps.
