Voyages: 1856 Hartlepool for South America; 6 January 1857 arrived Swansea from Caldera after a voyage which took 81 days; September 1864 from Swansea for Valparaiso & Carrizal Bajo, Chile; January 1865 from Carrizal Bajo, Chile for Point de Duggan, Point de Ingar & Swansea; 8 May 1865 from Shields for Caldera; June 1867 Swansea for Montevideo, Uraguay & Coronel, Chile; November 1867 from Coronel, Chile, Valparaiso, Chile & Coquimbo, Chile; January 1868 from Coquimbo, Chile for Swansea & Barcelona; August 1868 from Barcelona for Carleforte, Italy & Swansea; At Carlefote on 16 August 1868 John Shaddick, ordinary seaman, aged 22, b. Swansea died of a disease of the lungs.

The Limena sailed from Sombrero on 20 July 1871 bound for Aberdeen with a cargo of phosphate & disappeared. In January 1872 a boat from the vessel was picked up about four miles from Laurvig.
