Hunwick - a general history

Masters: 1854 Joseph Mullett; June 1854 Robert Weatherly; 1855 William Pearson; 1858 Robert Weatherley.

Hunwick left West Hartlepool for London with a cargo of coal on 11 November 1858 & sprang a leak & foundered in an easterly gale on 15 November 1858 in Yarmouth Roads. The crew saved themselves in their own lifeboat. The steamer & cargo were valued at about £9,000.
