Ward Street demolition

What we know about this image :

Taken in January 1967, the image shows the final days of Ward Street with Binns in the background. The Middleton Grange Shopping Centre was built around the rear of Binns store so Ward Street more or less was on the mall where the post office now stands. The street is an example of one in the Max Lock Plan which was not 'blighted' but needed to be sacrificed for a shopping centre.
