Area of the town which was built around Foggy Furze Farm on the road to Stockton from West Hartlepool. Some smart homes were built there in early Victorian times and still exist today between St Cuthbert's Church and Greensides Hotel.
More detail »The library, in an old Victorian villa on Stockton Road bought by West Hartlepool Council, was opened in 1948. It thrived for many years, but was closed in March 2011 and was demolished along with the tennis courts behind it.
Today, new housing is on the site.
